There is something about a newborn baby that is so wonderful to see and work with. When they are sleeping there is something so peaceful about them and when they are awake they can capture your attention by the cuteness of their little hands, feet, and all the parts that make them whole.

This was my first session of the new year and it could not have been more enjoyable.  I met with Nicole, Steve and baby Pierce here in Listowel, at her moms house. I packed up all my props and got ready for the day. Nicole and Steve received a session from their friends as a baby shower gift so we were both excited when we got the opportunity to get together and capture some photos.  Pierce was bon on January 9th weighing 6 lbs and 10 oz, and he was ready for his time in the spot light (although I think that he will be in the spot light for a long time).

Little baby P was ready to be awake for the day which challenged some of the pictures but I was determined to stick it out and get some sleeping ones.  I was not going to let this wee one get the best of the day.  We waited and waited but we managed to get some wonderful photos, both indivudal and some of the family.  I had so many new things to work with this year; new props, new hats and new flashes and I was very excited to use them.

There is something so cute about a yawning baby. I love it.

If any of you know me, you will understand why the next few pictures are some of my favourites! I love Giraffe’s!!!!

I couldn’t help but post their other family member. Meet Abner . He was soo good while taking photos. He only wanted to play a few times!!

Thanks for the great day Nicole and Steve. I had a wonderful time photographing your little bundle of joy. I hope you enjoy your time as new parents.
