Here I am back at it again. Although it has been a long time since I found the right picture and poem for my photo of the week, I feel that I am back on track with this one.
From the time I was a young girl I spent many evenings enjoying all that sunsets hold from the beach at our cottage over looking Lake Huron. Now sunsets are one of the most picturesque natural phenomenons that happen on a regular basis. Whether it is just watching the sun set over the water or through the trees, the beauty that the setting sun holds is spectacular.
The following photo was taken off the bow of our boat, in a small bay just hear Honey Harbour Ontario. The reflection and the peacefulness of the evening was so exciting to experience. This is one of the best, most colourful sunsets I have experienced in a long time.
I hope you enjoy!
Wish upon a Sunset

Pastel colors
Watercolors
Brushed on the sky
Nature’s palette
Fan brush and wash
With foreground and background
Drawing shadows
Before me
As night nears
A thought of you
And times we shared
Under periwinkle, salmon, and
Oriole skies
Wondering if you see
What I see
Even when you look
Beyond the form, substance
To the luminance I feel
Whenever I stop and
Wish on a sunset
Spectacular Nic!! The poem IS perfect. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE IT!!!!
